MOLOME is a Qt based photo-sharing app, an Instagram like application for SymbianOS. All you need to do is; capture, add cool effects & share instantly with your friends via Facebook or Twitter. The app is available for S60v5 & Symbian^3 devices for FREE at the Ovi Store. Photos can be viewed from the web interface as well, however you can not Love or Comment on a photo as yet. “MOLOME ™ is a easy & fun way to share your journey of life. Grab your phone, snap photos, experience cool effects beyond creativity and share it with your friends or show it to the world.”
Once you open the application you’re greeted with an informative HowTo with a ‘Sign In’ & ‘New User’ buttons. After registering for a new MOLOME profile you’re automatically logged in and taken to the ‘Popular‘ section.
At the bottom of the mobile-client UI you can find the following tabs:
Timeline– photos shared by you & others you are following.
Popular – where you can browse through the most loved photos organized in a descending order, touching the thumbnail allows you to see the moloer‘s photo where you can Love or leave a Comment.
Share – a viewfinder with Flash Auto • On • Off toggle, an Automatic • Macro switch and a onscreen ‘Take Photo‘ button (one can also use the dedicated hardware camera button on the Nokia device to capture photos) after the subject is captured you get 17 effect filters to choose from with which you can spice up your image and later be shared via Twitter and/or Facebook. Thanks to Jan Ole ‘s latest update, now molome shares can be previewed on his twitter client Gravityas well.
The Effect Filters
For those who couldn’t get ‘Facebook Sharing’ work on the mobile client, select the ‘Allow’ at this link on a PC http://molo.me/fballow and then try to login on your mobile client again.
Hope this helps you to MOLO and share on Facebook!! (Source: http://on.fb.me/dPWlBS)
Notification – displaying ‘available in next version‘ probably for notifications on photos, loved, comments on own captures by other ‘Moloers‘.
Profiles – shows information about yourself; a number count on Photos • Follower • Following along with ‘Badges‘ earned and ‘Recent‘ shares, as well ‘Search User‘, ‘Edit Profiles‘ & ‘Sign Out‘.
Settings – has an option to switch ON/OFF the shutter sound. Clear Cache clears the thumbnails shown on the Timeline, Popular & Profiles tabs. An Aboutbutton that contains the version number, website, feedback & ToS information.
In my opinion, MOLOME is like twitter only for photos which i feel is a very innovative idea as its like a simple photo sharing application Symbian users have been waiting for. Awating future improved releases of the application, have lot of expectations from it.
